Boating and Beach Bash TOMORROW!



MIRACLE ON THE INTRACOASTAL RETURNS TO BOCA RATON FOR 6th YEAR

The Boating & Beach Bash for People with Disabilities, March 22, 2014, 10 - 3PM, will take place on Saturday, March 22, at Spanish River Park, 3001 NORTH OCEAN BLVD. (A1A), in Boca Raton, FL.

This year’s Bash is sponsored by Unicorn Children’s Foundation.

The Bash is the Largest Free, Fun-Event in the Nation for the Special Needs Community.

Upwards of 6000 children, adults and Wounded Warriors will be treated to a day of fun on Land and Sea.

SPECIAL ADDED ATTRACTION: CHRIS P. BACON, AMERICA’S FAVORITE PIG WITH DISABILITIES TO ATTEND.

WHAT: 6,000 people with disabilities, caregivers and families, will participate in the largest, free, fun day in the nation for those with special needs. The 6th Annual Boating & Beach Bash for People with Disabilities will be held 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, at Spanish River Park, 3001 North Ocean Blvd. (A1A), in Boca Raton, FL. The day features yacht rides on 20 privately owned boats, donated by members of Boca’s famed royal palm yacht & country club. All rides will be supervised by 30 active us coast guard and 3 marine patrol boats, insuring safety for all. Rides last approximately one half hour.

The bash offers complimentary admission to the park, BBQ lunch with all the trimmings, and outstanding performers like Nick Aquilino, Fabian Hernandez, Carly Joe Jackson, Kendra Erika, Lizzy Sider, Cara Young and Maggie Baugh. These popular South Florida singers will rock the park in a non-stop, day-long concert. This year a special guest will be America’s favorite animal with disabilities, Chris P. Bacon, as seen on countless tv programs and inspiring youtube videos.

There will also be a tented promenade zone to showcase 20 florida-based foundations and corporations offering goods and services for people with various challenges. Costumed action heroes, Ronald McDonald, therapy ponies and service dogs will mix and mingle with the guests.

Already recognized as the nation’s foremost free event for people with disabilities, a highlight of this year’s bash includes the chance to participate in low impact sporting activities, designed and supervised for the bash by the medical team from Pinecrest Rehabilitation Hospital, at the Delray Medical Center.

WHERE: Spanish River Park, 3001 NORTH OCEAN BLVD. (A1A) in Boca Raton, FL., between Spanish River Blvd and Palmetto Park Road

WHY: This is the 6th year that community volunteers have given so much of themselves to host a FREE event that celebrates diversity in South Florida. The event salutes area residents and visitors with cross disabilities, their families and caregivers. The volunteers raise every penny, all of which goes to this event. There are no salaries. There are no profits. There is only a shared sense of joy and deep satisfaction that they are making a difference

WHAT’S HAPPENING: Free admission, parking and beach access for the day at Spanish River Park. Free hotdogs, burgers, chips, and beverages, live bands, singers, supervised yacht rides, an Exhibitor’s Zone, Kid’s Fun Zone, kite flying on the beach, therapy ponies and pups, costumed action heroes and much more. Hundreds of volunteers from the public and private sectors will welcome and host guests, their caregivers and families
