Unicorn Children's Foundation Participating in the Great Give
On May 3, 2016, from midnight to midnight, Unicorn Children's Foundation is participating in the Great Give Palm Beach & Martin Counties, a 24-hour online giving event led by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, United Way of Palm Beach County and United Way of Martin County. Great Give 2016 is designed to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits in just one day as part of a nation-wide program called Give Local America. Last year, thanks to generous donors like you, we raised $3.1 million collectively and ranked 7th in the nation! This year, we know we can do even better – will you join us?
This community-wide event celebrates the spirit of giving and the collective effort it takes to strengthen our community while raising critical funds for hundreds of local nonprofits serving every need. Plus, each donation made during the 24-hour period will be amplified by bonus pool dollars and hourly prizes!
Your donation will go a long way in helping us build communities of support, acceptance, and opportunity for individuals and families challenged by neurodiversity. Unicorn Children's Foundation has allocated over $3,100,000 in funding on initiatives that will allow each individual with neurodiversity to lead fulfilled and productive lives, including:
211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast - the first call for help, connecting families with available resources and service providers in the community
Unicorn Village Academy - a community-based lifeskills, academic, and career academy for youth with Neurodiversity
Inclusive Community Events - increasing opportunities for recreational and social participation in the communities where these individuals live
Unicorn Children’s Foundation Mobile Developmental Clinics - providing free developmental screenings and referrals to support organizations in collaboration with university experts
Educational Conferences - educate parents and professionals on evidence-based practices
Funding Research - to help identify effective treatments and best practices

EVERYONE wins during the #GreatGive!
On May 6th, EVERYONE wins during the #GreatGive!
Hosted by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, United Way of Palm Beach County, Martin County Community Foundation and United Way of Martin County, this bi-county event will celebrate the spirit of giving and collective effort it takes to strengthen our community. In recognition of this effort, both the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners and the Martin County Board of County Commissioners will be issuing a proclamation declaring May 6 as a "Day of Giving."
To keep the day fast-paced and exciting, the Community Foundation will also be hosting a day full of events to celebrate the GREAT GIVE at their headquarters, the Center for Philanthropy at 700 South Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach. The organization's "Giving Lounge" will be open from 7:00 a.m. until midnight and will have computer stations to encourage donations. There will also be food trucks, activities and performances hosted by the nonprofits, a dance party and prizes throughout the day.
United Way of Palm Beach County is also hosting several events and on-site promotions throughout Palm Beach County. For more details, visit the website: www.greatgivepbc.org/#events.
On May 6 anyone can make a secure donation of $10 or more to Unicorn Children's Foundation by visiting www.GreatGivePBC.org,www.GreatGiveMartin.org or by calling 1-844-GIVE-DAY. Every local gift will be multiplied by $450,000 in bonus funds raised by the Community Foundation, in partnership with generous fundholders, community partners and anonymous donors.

6 Days Until #GreatGive!
Unicorn Children’s Foundation Mobile Developmental Clinics, operated in partnership with local universities, provide free screenings and parent referrals to support organizations where children identified at-risk can receive the appropriate treatment at the earliest age possible. It costs approximately $40 per child to be screened and identified early which will provide them the greatest chance of an improved future.
Your donation on May 6th will help us reach more children in traditionally underserved communities.
