Reigning champions yet again defend title at Unicorn Children’s Foundations’ Celebrity Bartending Battle!

Boca Raton FL – September 16^th, 2016 – Unicorn Children’s Foundation is pleased to announce that our 3^nd Annual Bartender’s Battle was a smash hit!  Building on the excitement of the past year, this year saw not only an increase in attendance and awareness, but also a significant increase in proceeds.  Overall, Unicorn collected nearly $40,000 to help kids with special needs excel in the community!

Reigning champions Bill Kruegel (Sunshine Health) and Sarah Hassan (IM HealthScience) managed to defend their title and keep the coveted first place trophy.  Felette Branch (Gucci) and Heather Shaw (Saks Fifth Avenue), Gregory Fried (Gregory’s Fine Jewelry) and Marcie Butters (Butters Construction), and Kendra Erika (Singer/Songwriter) and Julissa Caballero (Toshiba Business Solutions) all put forth a valiant effort, and despite not claiming victory, still are winners in their support of neurodiversity.  Everyone here at the Unicorn Children’s Foundation extend not only our congratulations, but also our heartfelt gratitude to all the bartenders for their participation and support. 

 

As always, the Event Center at Farmers Table was a perfect venue for this event.  They provided amazing hors d’oeuvres, fantastic room layout that this year included nice comfy couches, and staff that were not only professional, but very effective and timely in their service and help.  The entire team went above and beyond all expectations, and amazingly they completely sponsored and underwrote the event, including the space, food AND beverages.  We here at Unicorn feel very fortunate to have their support, and extend a huge shout out to Joey Giannuzzi and the rest of his team for everything they do for us!  We would also like to thank our other sponsors, organizations, and people whom contributed to the overall success of this event; Sunshine Health, Simply the Best Magazine, Eye on South Florida, iRemember Box, The Happy Printer and our wonderful Volunteers.

Unicorn Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization providing education, awareness and funding opportunities to organizations for special needs children in an effort to help kids excel in the community.  For millions of special needs children with developmental, communication and learning challenges, finding a cure is like chasing a rainbow in that a cure remains elusive. The Unicorn Children’s Foundation is expanding the collective special needs community to help acknowledge, celebrate and integrate the special qualities possessed by neurodiverse children with Autism, ADHD, Bipolar, Asperger’s, Dyslexia and other learning disorders.

Raise a Glass and Awareness at Unicorn Children’s Foundation’s Celebrity Bartending Battle!

We are officially 1 week away from our 3rd Annual Bartender's Battle sponsored by Farmer's Table Boca!!

Come join us for this fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and support of Neurodiversity on Friday, September 16th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Event Center at Farmer’s Table in Boca Raton, Florida. Neurodiversity refers to children who think, learn and communicate differently due to developmental challenges like Autism, Dyslexia and other learning disorders.

This event is a competition amongst 4 local celebrity teams to see who can raise the most “votes” (dollars) in support of our cause.  Felette Branch (Gucci) and Heather Shaw (Saks Fifth Avenue), Gregory Fried (Gregory's Fine Jewelry) and Marcie Butters (Butters Construction), and Kendra Erika (Singer/Songwriter) and Julissa Caballero (Toshiba Business Solutions) will try to defeat reigning champions Bill Kruegel (Sunshine Health) and Sarah Hassan (IM HealthScience) for the title and much coveted trophy.

There will be amazing décor and each bar will be uniquely themed by its bartenders, to include: a Glamorous Garden, Warriors for Neurodiversity, a Sports Bar, and James Bond 007.  There will be fierce competition, friendly bantering, and shameless bribing for votes.  There will be delicious food, a chance to win amazing items, great drinks including a unique cocktail and great opportunity to mingle with a cross-section of South Florida’s community leaders, business professionals, and philanthropists.  But more importantly, this is an opportunity to support a great cause and have fun while doing it.  100% of proceeds directly support and impact our special needs youth and their families.
