The Obama Administration has launched a new initiative to
expand developmental and behavioral screening for children across the
country. The “Birth to 5: Watch Me Thrive!” effort is an educational tool
but more funding is needed to conduct these screenings.
Unicorn
Children’s Foundation Mobile Developmental Clinics, operated in partnership
with local universities, provide free screenings and parent referrals to
support organizations where children identified at-risk can receive the
appropriate treatment at the earliest age possible. It costs
approximately $40 per child to be screened and identified early which will
provide them the greatest chance of an improved future.
Donate today to
help us reach more children in traditionally underserved communities.
